What to do next
Running the knockout
- Print the draw or save it as a PDF and put it up where players will see it. Copy as text gives you a version to paste into a group chat.
- Set a deadline for each round. Players arrange their own match, and the winner writes their name into the next box on the sheet. A bye goes straight through.
- Seeds and byes are already placed, so nothing needs re-drawing between rounds. Keep the sheet as the record and the final box tells the story.
Running the box league
- Print one sheet per box, or the whole draw, and put it up at the club.
- Everyone in a box plays everyone else once. Players arrange their own matches before the round's end date, then write the score in the cell where the two names meet, with the row player's score first.
- At the end of the round, count the wins. The top two move up a box and the bottom two move down, and you generate the next round from the new order.
