ClubChamps is completely free for tournament organisers. Players are charged a small service fee of £1.99 per entry to cover platform costs.

How do organisers collect tournament entry fees?

Organisers can quickly set up a Stripe Connect account via their dashboard to receive and track entry fees directly. Players pay securely at registration via Stripe Checkout. Organisers receive all of the set registration fees (if any) — the ClubChamps service fee is charged separately.

Can organisers set their own entry fees?

Yes. Choose between flat-rate pricing (one fee for the whole tournament entry) or per-draw pricing (different fees for each draw category).

How long does it take to set up a tournament?

About 2 minutes. The guided setup wizard walks you through tournament details, draw selection, match format settings, and pricing configuration.

Can I change tournament details after it is created?

Yes. All details you enter when creating a tournament can be changed at any time by the organiser via their tournament dashboard.

What types of tournaments are supported?

ClubChamps currently supports single elimination (knockout) tournaments — the traditional club championship format. We are constantly developing our platform, and are looking to add new tournament formats in the near future.

Do I have to add players to the draw after they are registered?

Accepted Answer

No — they are added to the draws they have registered for automatically! You will see them appear in the draw, where you can rearrange them yourself, or simply wait and use the 'Sort' feature to instantly shuffle them using the championship-style tiered seeding system.

Can players submit their own scores?

Yes. Players submit match scores directly from their computer or phone, which automatically update the draw. Both players can verify results to ensure accuracy, or raise a dispute for organisers to adjudicate.

Are plate draws supported?

Accepted Answer

Yes, organisers can simply turn plate draws on for all or certain draws. First-round losers will be given the option to join the plate draw, and be automatically added to the draw, for organisers to review and finalise for publishing when all first-round matches are complete.

Does ClubChamps support real-time updates?

Yes. Live score updates, draw changes, and tournament notifications are pushed instantly to all participants.

How do doubles partnerships work on the platform?

It is all handled by the player — organisers don't have to do anything! Once a player has registered for a doubles draw, they will be asked to select their partner from the other registered players — which can be accepted or declined by the other player.
