Submitting Scores

Reporting your match results is quick and straightforward -- enter the score set by set and submit it for confirmation.

Overview

After you've played your match, either player can submit the score on ClubChamps. The process is simple: navigate to the match, enter the score for each set (including tiebreaks if applicable), and submit it. The organiser will review and confirm the result, and the draw updates automatically.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1

Navigate to the match

Go to the tournament and find the match you've just played. You can get there by:

  • Opening the draw bracket and clicking on your match
  • Checking your upcoming matches list on the tournament page

The match will show the two players and a button to submit the score.

2

Enter the score

Click Submit Score and enter the result set by set. For each set, enter:

  • Your score -- the number of games you won in the set
  • Opponent's score -- the number of games your opponent won

If a set went to a tiebreak, you can enter the tiebreak score as well (e.g. if the set was 7-6, you'd record the tiebreak score like 7-6(5) to show your opponent won 5 points in the tiebreak).

For a typical best-of-three-sets match in the Riverside Tennis Club Summer Championship, you'd enter something like:

  • Set 1: 6-4
  • Set 2: 3-6
  • Set 3: 7-5
3

Submit the score

Once you've entered all the sets, review the score to make sure it's correct, then click Submit. Double-check the result before submitting -- it's much easier to get it right the first time than to ask the organiser to correct it later.

Wait for confirmation

After you submit, the organiser will review and confirm the result. This usually happens quickly, especially during active tournament periods. You can check the status of your submission on the match page:

  • Pending -- the score has been submitted and is waiting for the organiser to confirm
  • Confirmed -- the organiser has verified the result and the draw has been updated
5

Check the updated draw

Once the score is confirmed, the draw bracket updates automatically. You'll see:

  • The match result -- your confirmed score displayed on the bracket
  • Your next opponent -- if you won, the bracket shows who you're playing in the next round
  • Plate draw entry -- if you lost in the first round and the tournament has a plate draw, you'll automatically appear in the consolation bracket

Score Entry Tips

  • Be accurate -- double-check each set score before submitting. Typos happen, and correcting them creates extra work for the organiser.
  • Include tiebreak scores -- if a set went to a tiebreak, record the tiebreak score so there's a complete record of the match.
  • Communicate with your opponent -- it's good practice to agree on the score with your opponent before one of you submits it. This avoids disputes.
